I went to a council/pushbikes cycling meeting during winter.
Someone brought up the debate (very seriously, and expectantly) that the speed limit in the city should be lowered to 20mph, that it was silly and dangerous for cars to want to go any faster, that we should phase them out etc..
Everyone chin stroked in contemplation/respecting her point totally, I was desperate to drop the 'you stupid bitch, how fast do you think a bike goes downhill?' but luckily a woman stepped in and argued with her about having to drive a car to driver her disabled kid around.
You would think this wouldve shut the first woman up, but nooo! She starts yelling and calling the 2nd woman a selfish driver/destroying the planet etc..
