This is my '89 Peugeot Premiere which I have just finnished converting to SS. Non-standard parts made for an interesting build but it was a good challenge anyway!
Simon - Glad to see that you are opting for a Pug! The Carbolite isn't too bad once you have stripped all the bits off which you don't need. Compared to your Trek it will be a bit of a beast though. I am not too sure about hubs / rims, I cleaned up the originals which came up ok. I also used the original chainset which although requires a bit of juggling for the chainline but works ok for the time being. As far as style is concerned then just go with what you like and use what you have available where possible...
