Gig: Charles Hayward from This Heat, etc. 10th April, Dalston

Hello peeps.
Allow me to present an evening of music which will undoubtedly appeal to previous attendees of Spatchcock events, and fans of the odder side of sound in general...

On Friday the 10th of April, Leverton Fox will be celebrating the release of their debut album 'Country Dances' on Gravid Hands recordings.
This will take place at Cafe Oto in Dalston, London.

Also playing are Charles Hayward (ex- This Heat) and his band Albert Newton, plus improv / drone rock duo Rocketnumbernine (members of Rothko).

+1! really into This Heat at the moment! Pity I'm in Newcastle. Not that I'd go if I was in London, being lazy and all.

Yep Hayward is incredible. Plays drums with the energy of an 18-year-old. Lovely chap too.

Best bit of info on the whole damn forum, terrific top dollar bass and drum from Mr Hayward & Co,
not a guitar in sight and myriad of seemless time changes too.
Bass player was new to me (shame of it!) and is up there with Barry Guy in physical attack but with more grooves like a Mingus.
Had a great time, recommend the London porter as well.....
