not being funny, but err.. in what sense is that a low pro? it's just a road frame conversion with the seat up high.

Not a "Lo-Pro"

never in a million years will it be a lo pro. i dont think the bar setup qualifies it as a lo pro either

Brand new Planet X track wheels with brand new Conti DuraSkin tubs (just paid £200 for these)
Those would be the hand built wheels then? Rather that the £100 factory sets?

Maybe describing it as a lo-pro is giving out the wrong idea?
This looks like a bike set up for proper TT'ing. It looks pretty damn good for that. Not a set up for your average hipster wanting a bike to ride round london, but a great bike for a serious cyclist wanting to get in to time-trialling. The price is a bit inflated, I think, but you might have more luck advertising it as a Time trial set up rather than misleadingly describing it as a lo-pro.

A lo-pro generally refers to a bike where the head tube is lower than the height of the top of the seat tube. This was common in the 80's and 90's and was done to give the rider a lower profile for TT'ing or the pursuit. They soon became referred to as lo-pro bikes.
The more extreme frame designs with curved tubes and smaller front wheels were often referred to as "funny bikes".
Most modern TT'ing or pursuit frames today have a head tub that is the same height as the top of the seat tube with a level top tube, as is the case with this frame.
The rider is still able to achieve a "low profile" so in theory is would not be wrong to refer to this bike as a lo-pro tho is is not a lo-pro in the classic 80's and 90's sense of the word.
Nice bike, tho £600 is asking a bit much.

Hi all....seems like everyone thinks I'm asking too much for this lovely bike!
I will drop the price (a bit) as I need to get my car fixed/replaced.....so offers (sensible only) considered.....

miro_o:
The wheels are the factory ones, fitted with £80 worth of duraskin tubs, £12 of Tufo tub tape and a very nice £25 EAI sprocket...so actually cost me £217!!

Fair enough. I didn't notice they were tubs.

Does this mean that all of Flickwgs bikes are lo-pros?
Lower the seat, put up some frame measurements and maybe somebody who is more vertically challenged than yourself will buy it as a straight up conversion.
Nice bike BTW, shame it's too small for me.
OK, based on feedback on this post, I'm relisting this with a different description!!!!
Built around a very nice 52cm Basso Viper Columbus Nivacrom road frame (just acquired a week or two ago fromRetro di Corsa) in very good condition, in deep met blue with chrome ends, built as follows:
Carbon forks
Dura Ace aheadset
Stronglight 170mm track cranks in NOS condition and brand new 49T Stronglight ring (just paid £80 for these)
Miche track BB, brand new (£15)
Ultegra spd's
Brand new Planet X track wheels with brand new Conti DuraSkin tubs (just paid £200 for these)
New track chain (£10)
Flite saddle
Campag Record front brake
ITM Millenium adjustable stem
Profile Low pro base bars and 3ttt tri-bars
The bike looks stunning and fits me perfectly at 5'9"/5'10" set up as a low pro. The bike is very light and rides silently with no chain alignment issues.
Looking for £600 complete, inc £300 worth of brand new bits described above!!!!!
My Car is knackered, hence need the cash, hence the bargain price! I don't want to sell it....but needs must!!!!
