You'll have to get the steerer threaded though Marc. Or Find a 1" A-head headset and stem. Not as cheap as you first think.
not that difficult- the best one i've found is buy a shimano 105 headset and then buy the converter from threaded to threadless made by M:Part.

then make yourself a shim out of a coke can and use a 1 1/8" shim. simple as.
