i'll give you £10 for them both
try moving the cleat slightly o the sole, up or down abit.
don't do you shoes up too tight, enough to wiggle all over with out feeling restricted. -

£10? i would have thought a massage and a pack of biscuits was the going rate. i'll split the sidis so dib with a 'left' or 'right' as appropriate. kthx. :D

Sounds like a foot positioning issue - incorrect arch support and/or cleat positioning
Have a look at Andy Pruitt's Complete Medical Guide for Cyclists or spend some money at Cycle Fit

It's called hot foot. Usually means they are too narrow for your foot.

• #7
do you have your shoes on the correct feet? :)

Check your position and/or go to cycle fit and get them to make you some of the inner soles they make. They cost but are worth it in my experience.

Look in the mirror and question, "What am I doing in life?"

thanks for the pointers. i've tried moving the cleat, but i guess i need to research this more/try more positions/tensions/hair products. :D hhahaha! em. cunt. :D

Another tip is to soak them in water for 1/2 a day then wear them around the house for the other 1/2 and they should mould to the shape of your feet while drying.

Agree with Murts - don't do them up so tight, especially the middle strap.
-
• #13
Are you over tightening the straps on the shoes? I get similar issues if I crank up the ratchet.

I get that on one foot occassionally.... I think mine are slightly too small.... I did buy them 8 years ago ..... i love them thou... i just unclip that foot whilst cycling and give it a little rotation both ways.... sorts it out..... I have high arches too..... rigid shoes are not good for high arches.

I scrunch my toes up pull em tight and when I relax my foot again I've got enough movement to be comfortable.

I'm rolling over and exposing my belly in submission right now.

I've got the mega version and still have the straps really loose... Sidi's hug your foot so well that you don't need to buckle up so snug.

I got Sidi Mega 44 SPL-SL's - DOn't get any issue's with them, but I do have orthotic inserts in my Diadora SPD's...and in my trainers/normal shoes - I have flat feet and get pain. Lookup Superfeet ont'interweb.....Orthotics are the way forward!

DIY...

so i got me some aliums and dominators for my commuting etc, and are stoked with both except i've noticed some cramping in my feet. i went with the Mega sized 43 sidis, for my broad feet after trying on the 43's in cycle surgury.
riding was immediately more responsive in terms of speed an i'm well chuffed. but i'm not sure if i'm over tightening or if i've got bad habits from trainers and cages but i get a weird ache/cramp that moves along the outside of my foot and occasionally jumps to my arch depending on where i weight my foot. my feet are snug, not sliding around, maybe too tight across the very top? i need to try more tensions i guess. but the main thing i notice is that the cramp goes if i put the weight on the ball of my foot. instantly.
trouble is it doesn't feel that natural unless powering away from lights/pushing hard etc. i have to bring my knees in and focus on posture. a good thing? and when braking with my legs the cramp jumps back to the outside edge. i think its all down to having had weird/not sidi compatible posture when riding with cages/straps. i know that i wore my trainers out on the outside edge, like i was putting most of my weight on the outside...
so. what can i do to help? has anyone else had this? any pointers?
thanks all.
