Ahhhh, they are (or were) indeed "no entry"'s with "except bikes" underneath. With recently added islands at the entrance and on the bend, but not at the junction in the middle...
Stranage thing is that the bike lane signs on the islands are also bagged up?!
I can see why the no motor vehicles sign's aren't used much, looks a bit like a no motorbike jumping cars sign to me :-)
