I get told to 'Recycle Now!' by our county council weekly. They employ people to go round checking bins and knocking on my door to ensure that I'm getting the message. I am happy to recycle, have done for a number of years, but sometimes the noise level of their message hurts my delicate ears.
Obviously a large team within the county council is tasked with ensuring that I am constantly reminded of the importance of recycling, an important duty.
Unitil I get fined for polluting my recyling bin with non-recyclable waste, I will continue to recycle; Perhaps even afterwards.I just wish that the feeling that it's all about delaying the need for more land-fill sites (a council's nightmare) would go away. I also wish we didn't sell recyclable waste to third parties who dump it at sea or abroad, creating revenue for both parties.
