• congratulate two really hard working girls on their success.

(ps. this is the nice thread, please don't trash this one)

Hyphens can be so important. 'Hard-working girls...'

  • hehehe, sorted. ta platini ;)

  • hehehe, sorted. ta platini ;)

You just made it worse, are you trying to derail the thread?
    Working-girls?

  • cool.

(to the thread, not platini's innuendo, although that is cool in a grammar-geek "eats, shoots and leaves" kinda way which isn't really that cool).

  • hehehe, sorted. ta platini ;)

Very far from sorted--trust Platini the Hyphenator. He got it right. :)

  • damn i am too tired.

  • cool.

    .

  • .

you forgot the rest of the sentence. i like punctuation, but it's definitely not cool.

sorry, this idea of getting more girls riding by making them feel better about it is excellent.

  • YES it is about getting more girls on bikes!! (your mom, sister, daughter, GF, auntie, the chic next door..all of them ;)

  • you forgot the rest of the sentence. i like punctuation, but it's definitely not cool.

sorry, this idea of getting more girls riding by making them feel better about it is excellent.

There was no innuendo there at all. I was just drawing Jacqui's attention to the fact that a grammatical error/typo laid her post open to misinterpretation. The difference between 'hard-working girls' and 'hard working girls', I thought - needed no further explanation.
Clearly, in your case I was wrong, hence I need to post what I had previously retracted as too fucking obvious...

  • yeah man, i got it. the ambiguity creates the innuendo, though, and pointing out the ambiguity... you see where i'm going.

    never mind.

  • never mind.

    +1

  • This looks great, Jacqui, and I want to come along. More girls on bikes is a great cause and I'm more than happy to put on some smart clothes and encourage my female forum friends to join- in if that will help Cyclodelic launch their venture successfully (the champers is quite a draw too).

@ Blue Quinn, can you be persuaded to come with your mIssus in said cape? That should prove a valuable endorsement.

  • YIPPEEE!!! this is going to be RAD. I have a new chemise I want to wear ;)

  • good luck with the launch girls.

  • @ Blue Quinn, can you be persuaded to come with your mIssus in said cape? That should prove a valuable endorsement.

I can be persuaded. I have mentioned the ride. and the champagne. We shall see. She's not very confident cycling on busy roads.

  • I should be there too with all the boys above :P

  • She's not very confident cycling on busy roads.

Me neither and I am crap at treasure hunts!

  • Great idea! i am in for this

    • i did a treasure hunt dressed as a woman on saturday... I am going to have to get a new outift!
