Not sure but i'd say they are probably anodized? Which may or may not be a problem to removed..

Ovenpride will shift it if its' anodized, but you'll have to make sure that there are no internals that it will also dispose of.

caustic soda if its anodized (which is prob what oven pride is) - but that'll leave it dull looking, will need to buff it up with something.

Step by step...
main thing is to get an oven cleaner with a high Sodium Hydroxide content.

Sand it, autosol it, job done.

Can anyone tell me what the finish is on these? They're perfect for the job I need (stopping!) but I want silver/chrome/metal brake levers and I can't find any in that price bracket and size. I wondered if I could slop a bit of Nitromors on it and, Fanny's your aunt, they'd be down to the bare metal? Ta.
