You could try setting it up centrally as before, pulling the brakes, and then using the set screws to centre, and see if it holds (teeny-weeny allen key holes at the level of the spring ends - 2mm?).

That's what I wanted to do- but there are no set screws- anywhere!

If only there were this would be easy.
