"Real cyclists don't jump red lights" on the back.
Does this make me a fake cyclist then?

Charco... top of a hill going down into Brighton.
Momentum prevented a proper stop. Sorry chap, was in the home straight.
Lovely day for a proper leg stretch.Charco at that speed didn't make out it was you until the last second. you looked very much the man about town with laydee in one hand and the fixed in the other. shoots and i were enjoying the last bit of that descent having been interrupted at a couple of junctions. got to post a photo i took of shoots as he span over the top of Bitchling. man was he smiling. great day to be out on the blacktop

:) Lots of game-face roadies out this morning, so nice to see a friendly face at the lights. I was a slow coach as usual, though I'm blaming my miss daisy impression away from the lights on paranoia about the rear wheel pulling forward in the dropouts (only built the beater up yesterday, using a commute as a shakedown ride = not recommended)

Mr Hillbilly this morning on the Chainring Cross Road - good concentration sir - didn't even clock me.
Is it just me or did they completely change the light sequence on the roundabout at Trafalgar square.
apparently there was a problem with a phone line somewhere, so they couldn't adjust the ights to suit the traffic...

Bought from Brick Lane? (He's probably been misquoted.)
Kyle, if you're on here, please note that I absolutely adore your surname.

Is Kyle on here?
Love the control you have on the bike? You'd have even more with clips.
(Just a suggestion, tried not to sound arsey)

Courier looking type (or fakenger with a radio :p) on the roundabout outside the Fox pub on Green Lanes (palmers green) last night - sorry for the delayed reaction on the nod, I was so busy alternating between scoping out your rear wheel to see if you were fixed (and being surprised to see you were) and watching the upcoming roundabout. Nice wheels mate.
Further apologies to the guy who I was staring at locking his bike up opposite Nationwide in Palmers Green. You rode on the right hand side of the road past all the roadworks at the north circular junction while I sat there like a twat behind a bus, but caught you up at the lights in Palmers Green - not really with it due to a stupidly long ride the night before and very little sleep so sorry about that.
Also hello to the freewheeling langster girl coming down Bush Hill a few days ago and a guy with (I think red) deep vs going through Enfield town. Surprised to see people riding fixed/ss that far out, but good nonetheless. Hope to see you again on the road some time soon.
hi, i may have been the middle guy locking up, was 'i' on a red bike with risers or a white one with drops? i too get pleasantly surprised seeing fixed this far north, nice to know i'm not on my own in palmers green! i'll keep an eye out for ya in the hood..

Bunch of lads outside the Hermits Cave shouting "Do a skid!".
Cheers for the bike praise, who were you? -

the dude in the race outfit next to him says he does 100 a week but he has 100 gears so its not really fair?
-
• #13072
even 100 a week's no big deal if your bike is your transport.
work commute - 4 miles x 2 trips x 5 working days = 40
social stuff at night / weekend - 10 x 7 = 70figure in a couple of rolls for the hell yeah of it and you're doing 150 miles a week. I imagine this is pretty average for a lot of people on the forum.
I think maybe the mileage question only came afterwards from the editor and the non-cycling journalist threw in a panic estimate based on their world of oyster cards and taxi rides. Not that I'm Kyle or the editor, I'm just riffing.
-
• #13073
I think 130 is the average mileages the rider here in the LFGSS per week.
another thing I notice is that our place of work is 5-7 miles from our home (where's the polls on that?), so 10-15 miles a day is pretty mundane.

I am currently riding 150-200 miles a week and am knackered most of the time. Maybe its the work.

Spotted I think Aroogah this morning at the top of Shaftesbury Ave and New Oxford St (is that called Bloomsbury Circus or am I making that up?).
Well, whoever it was waved, so hi.
Haha, I had forgoten about that. Good to say hello. The messiness got messier in the underworld. Pigfarmer trying to dance in road cleats. He landed on his arse a few times.
