  • I have seen quite a few acrylic cycling jerseys for sale recently... all look nice an old school.. but I was wondering.... isn't acrylic a bad substance for a sweating body? Like Nylon?

I also see a lot in polyester.... Would cotton not be better?

  • cotton smells which is never any good if u got to meet people at the other end.

I have a cranberry cold base layer, doesn't stink at all, which is fucking ace.

  • Maybe, depends on the person I guess. Though merino wool is the 531 of fabrics.

  • ooohhhh........ marino wwooooolllllllllllll.

  • Cotton does not disperse the bodies moisture like Wool. Hense old jersys being made from wool. We manufacture in Britaibn a range of Technical Merino wool jerseys that regulate the bogies temp and wick away moisture. See

  • Hmm - I prefer a warm strawberry and ginger base layer - the colour is nice and the ginger helps with the motion sickness

Cheers for the insight. Nice clobber on your site. Perhaps if I had a few samples to test this new fangled "wool" technology....??
