did they tell you this because they didn't have any?
never seen or heard of that, but if people are lacing them too tight in radial and jumping down flights of steps then it's going to happen to any hub.
there's a lot of talk about goldtec being so fantastic, in my experience they last reasonably well, are better suited to the road, but I wouldn't buy them again.
