Google should not have the right to go around photographing people's property for their own gain. While I'm unconvinced about the threat this poses in terms of crime, burglary presumably, I think it is a total fucking liberty.
Too right. Why should people's houses be photographed to make profits for an American company.

Well they managed to correctly pronounce Broughton on the radio this morning. Now let's see if the residents of Woughton and Loughton get up in arms to confuse things... -

Hello folks,
Good on the villagers I say.
I cannot tell you where I live, but like most folks I have checked Google's street scene thing to look at my humble abode. Imagine my surprise/ horror when I scrolled along to the appropriate property that I am pictured outside my own home in the front garden. But as this is a bike forum you will all be pleased to know that I am pictured with my lovely bike!
Haven't asked them to take it down as is mentioned above it we are on CCTV circa 300 times per day anyway...
Smile for the cameras.
Peace and Love,
TimTim, knowing vaguely in which direction you live I almost considered trying to find you for a minute there, then realised that it was a totally fucking stupid idea.
Haven't see you on the road for ages, we are like passing ships! -

I wonder if someone has taken up the mantle of making sure the signs for Two Mile Ash are regularly altered?!

Haven't see you on the road for ages, we are like passing ships!I keep seeing him too, sometimes on my bike going the other way, sometimes on shanks' pony around tootin
though I don't tend to bother with the main drag that often, I wonder why so many people do when there are usually faster alternatives

I know Broughton well - it's hardly what you would describe as a 'village' - it's a few houses in the hinterland between Bedford and Milton Keynes. You drive through it basically to get to somewhere a bit bigger and a lot more bland.
Thinking about it, they probably got pissy in case Google uncovered the fact that they've killed dozens of people and have them buried in shallow graves.

Clefty - thanks, yes... like ships passing indeed.
RPM - if you see me on foot please come and say hello.
Both - Greetings. I've been varying my ride recently so I'm not on auto pilot and trying to get more hills in for a bit of htfu-ness but I'm still around.
Peace and Love to all,

I'm usually the walkenger whilst you are blitzing along mitcham road
"Mr Jacobs said he saw the vehicle driving past his home on Wednesday and his first reaction was one of anger."
Tells you everything you need to know really! Google provides a service, we all use it, if something they do offends you, boycott it. I think it's a very useful thing to have, far outweighed by any infringements of my privacy or use by burglars.
Google earth anyone?
