Scott, is there anything wrong with asking some of the big retailers to help sponsor our ride? They could give money, or Easter Eggs!
Sainsburys, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Waitrose, M+S food, and others are all fair game. I think if you (or anybody else) speaks to their marketing departments, and possibly uses the Tweed Run as an example, then I predict a successful outcome.
EDIT: My old granny who raised me, was a great benefactor of a children's home (in Grenada). Your idea is excellent, but the furtherest I will go, will be bunny ears. Thank goodness there are no bunny suits in my size.
