nice bit of kit. But may I ask why the front rack and not a rear?
easier to skid with the weight at the front lol

New wheels coming tomorrow, woohoo!!!

• #7555
random... but i am doing lejog fixed this summer
yipes.
this is the bike so far.... just plonked on spare bits from other bikes but it will be all black parts, colour coded mudguards fitted... randonneur bars i think and a suitable box for the front rack
got big tyres on there way (38 rear 42 front) and going to build some all black wheels, 32h i think... and going to double up the brake cabling for the front so i can run both left and right lever for the front disc.need to figure out the ideal gearing for 120 fixed miles a day, think i will run a 2 singlespeed gears on a singlespeed cassette hub and a cog fixed 16t, but two rings up front in case i get injured, maybe a 40 and a 44
:)
wow. Thats awesome.

For cotter pins, if they get jammed your best with a center punch (or an old bolt) and a big hammer... just smack it out backwards (else it just gets tighter ;-)
Cotter pins ruined my life.

Got that installed, I was a bit wary about installing a £90 headset by smacking it with a piece of wood but it went on smooth as, thank fuck.

They're available frame/forks only in the US. Just $200. Someone bring a batch in!
Are these not Mercier Kilo TT's?

They also stock these Jurys:

randonneur bars i think
Those bars look like the On-One Mungo, or possibly the Soma 3 Speed. Its definitly not the Nitto Radonneur bars.
I'd say its much more likely to be the Mungo.

Still need a few bits.

oh yes... sorry i didn't put that very well. they're mungos, but i intend to put randonneurs on, the mungos don't give me enough positions for such a long ride
