  • Points for the first person to skitch one of these...

  • The BBC just reported on possible reductions in the US and Russia's nuclear sockpiles. I'll believe it when my toes get chilly.

  • Watching it on the news at the mo, quite a few fellas milling about on fixed wheels down near the BOE...

    The Body Odour Exchange?

  • Can I just say that fresh is on fire today - he's made me laugh out loud at least 3 times on this thread so far. Keep it coming Dougie!

  • True, also some of the propaganda and covert tactics excercised by the British government in WW2 is also pretty unbelievable, so unbelievable in fact that members of the public back then wouldn't have thought it possible.

This is not disrespectful to those wo died, I don't believe in the conspiracy, but believing what your government is telling you during a time of war is probably a bit naive, we were told that we could be attacked with WMD in 45 mins FFS! if they can feed us that shite, they'll try anything.

One of the bombs went off right underneath me - I was seven floors above the Aldgate bomb. It was loud and shook the building. I saw dozens of flak-jacketed police run into the tube station from my window. We were then told by the police that there had been an electrical surge. Ho-hum!

No, I do not believe everything told to me by the government. One criteria I employ, however, is to ask what they would gain by doing what they are alleged to have done. In this case, I cannot see what they could have gained. It didn't even improve the tube and it got more people onto bikes, something the government seem to be very against!

[Notice how I have managed to get this thread back on track - cycling is what it is all about!]

  • I'm going to try and get on TV - look out for a blue / green / yellow bike.

Who are you going to throw it at?

  • Cliveo, good point. Well made.

Here's something make us all laugh, check the bit about 20 minutes in when Mitchell walk in and opens the curtains and puts radio 4 on.

Actually, the stats tell of a very temporary blip that wasn't sustained at all.

People don't take up cycling for negative reasons, e.g. fear of travelling on the tube, for long. If the reasons are negative, they drift back to their former habits.

  • Is this one of those ironic posts?

Make your position known 606. I was impressed by your previous observation about the convergence of "right-wing cunts" on this forum and am eager to hear more.

  • No, it's by Balki, so it must be moronic. ;)

Duly noted. Im sure I had "Thread 2" bookmarked somewhere. This is clearly not the place for me :D

  • 'The protest is organised by a group called G20 Meltdown'?

Very short shelflife with a name like that. They've not thought that through.

  • hahah

  • When I was a kid (about 8/9) me and my best pal started a club called 'The Anarchy Club'. Our ethos was based almost entirely on Vivien from the Young One's jacket. Looking back I'd say we had more of a point then 90% of the workshy down there today. We soon changed the name and moved on to collecting Page 3s though.

No, you haven't--the world is going to end soon, anyway. So it's fine.

  • just saw two guys arguing with police whilst wearing tweed hats.

"hey stop the war, fuck the IMF and all that, but i still want to look fresh, yeah"

  • AA GIll was there when I walked down. Sure that will appear somewhere tomorrow... Plastic anarchists seemed to be everywhere.

  • it's also a known that genetically, paedophiles have more DNA in common with crabs, than they do you and me. there's no real evidence for it, but it is scientific fact

    Hahaha fucking brasseye rules!

    They've met their match though!

  • i just got back.

after tusseling with the police for about an hour we got bored and decided to leave only to find no on was allowed out and had to wait around for 3 hours!

  • You wan sympafy?

  • just got back, it was jokes

  • Then the organisers' job is done.

  • Hahaha fucking brasseye rules!

you're wrong and you're a grotesquely ugly freak

  • no steel structured buildings have ever completely collapsed before or since due to impact from aircraft.

interesting. can you just clarify exactly how many steel structured skyscrapers have had fully loaded airliners fly straight into them at considerable speed since 9/11? or before?

    oh god, i've bitten.

i don't actually want to debate this, honest. i'm no fan of this government and for the first time in my life will not be voting labour next time i'm given the opportunity. i was, and am, a staunch opposer of the war in iraq and the bush administartion in general and blah blah blah. I'm a humanist, how could I not be?

but i'm sorry, to me, that whole loose change, 9/11 conspiracy thing is pure swivel-eyed paranoia. and no, i don't believe everything i'm told. not by the government. and not by those guys either. i'm an adult and i assimilate and evaluate the information available to me (and make judgements on that which is not) and i make up my own mind. but sorry, that conspiracy stuff just gets on my tits for som ereason. i really wish i hadn't bitten but now i have i might as well hit "post".

perhaps my judgement is coloured somewhat because my previous favourite forum (planbmag.com) was singlehandedly destroyed by a lone loose-change nut who was so demented and determined that he eventually drove nearly all of the regular posters away. really hope i'm not waving byebye to my current favourite place on the net by getting into it again here.

    sorry. long rant.
