  • It has been argued that globalisation has lead to an emerging textile industry in Cambodia (and others) providing jobs to tens of thousands of workers who, irrespective of the relatively low wages by western standards, would otherwise be living in abject poverty.

    There were subsistence farmers before who can eke out a better existence sewing in a factory.

    But yeah, throw a brick through a window if thats your thing.
