  • I'm thinking about carrying a handheld air horn sometimes, just for shits and giggles on bishopsgate in the morning ;)

I used to have one gaffer taped to my handlebars, it got confiscated off of me by the po-lice :(

Local police frown on that sort of thing here as well. Bells seem to be the only thing that passes.

  • ^ such a shame i think i could just about get away with it, oh wait the 'community officer' would nick it, pikey S.O.B lol if i just rode about and used it i would get away with it!

  • My boss in my last job had one of these: http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/product-Delta-Air-Zound-3-Bicycle-Mounted-Air-Horn-4.htm
Combined with his being a huge south african rugby type, it did wonders for clearing a path.

  • any good cycle shop will sell anti squeel compound gel for about £2

Try one of the larger, reputable chain stores

  • Sure, if'n you don't have enough bits on your bars I suppose their is always room for more. http://crca.ucsd.edu/sheldon/bicycle/titanium/titanium-cockpit2-400.jpg

  • hang on... a unipack you have there?
forget about all the suggestions above - they wont work.

  • toe-ing in of the brake blocks may help a bit

rear of the block should hit rim first
