Ok two things
1) I recently baught a threaded fork which is just alittle too long for my bicycle at the top end (steerer or whatever its called). Do you think I can just get the old saw out and hack away at it for abit to make it the right length? Obviously don't want to damage the product beyond use.
2) Went to BLB to get the parts for my first wheel build and being abit of a novice at the whole build idea I just elt the guy do his thing and sort out the spoke lengths etc. After lacing the wheel for the first time it seems like (for both wheels) that they're too long because the nipples don't quite show through even after tightenning them abit. For example if i lie the wheel verticaly the nipples at the top show through but the ones at the bottom of the wheel disappear. Is this just a tightening issue or do I need to make the journey over to Brick Lane again top return them! (I'm a Westie! So long trip . .)
