Ironically, when I see the pics of female roadies and fixed gear tricksters on this thread. It reminds of the amount of sheer cycling ability currently residing with the fairer sex.
I am often guilty of not taking female cyclists seriously.
Last year on a mountain race I found myself behind a tall girl wearing knee high tights (those support jobbies). I have to be honest, and say that I found her legs pretty damn alluring. After a few kilometers she started to pull further and further away, and I thought 'shame her legs were keeping my mind off my own painful ones'.
Took a long while before I realised that she'd kicked my arse :(
