when i was in first year at uni a few of us used to get together most nights and either go out or stay in and chat or watch films. usually we'd end up in someone's room passing a spliff around. these were always happy times. I remember listening to music and being completely taken away by it, receptive to it in a way that you just can't feel usually.
Most of all though I remember the incredible satisfaction of eating. we'd order these incredible pizzas with spicy beef and chili on, or eat rotisserie chickens in warm white bread with mayonnaise, or raid the vending machines in the lobby (being careful of course not too arouse too much suspicion of course). we'd sit there mesmerised until the food was gone. once i ate a whole multipack lemon refresher chewy bars because i was so taken with the flavour. It's easy to laugh and pass it off as 'the munchies', but these were real moments of contentment.
