Oliver Schick, thanks for the link. Yes, it's a bit daunting riding around London, especially as I'm only being used to country lane's. I went along the Highway on Friday afternoon in the Rain !! Hats of to you couriers who face that every day. Both lanes stop start, stop start with the road being to narrow on the inside and dodging the on coming traffic on the outside....…
I start on Monday and will give Islington Council a ring about putting my name down for some cycle training, I'll let you know if its like being back a school doing my cycling proficiency ;-)
Good stuff! Streets like the Highway will eventually be fine if you get trained, but of course you always pick the route you want. And one of the keys to cycle training is that it's not like cycling proficiency; it's about training on the street, not just in the playground, so that you experience real conditions and it's all directly applicable.
