nice bike

I've nearly finished mine
but i don't have a proper track hub i just welded my freewheel together to try out fix gear and i Love it but its come undone now
But i just had a thought
If i have an old disc compatible front hub could i drill some holes in a cog and lace it to my wheel??
I've seen them on ebay but i wasn't sure if i should just splash out on a proper track hub and cog?
I have a full engineer shop at college so im sure id be able to do it next week sometime

any thoughts on what i should do?

DIY man, go for it. if it fails then go to the shops and get a system x (or onone for £15)
