No, the thing you put on your bike wheel is a 'tyre'.

  • DT Swiss - now do white spokes.

  • is that peril white?

    Certainly not pearl white..

  • DT Swiss - now do white spokes.

    for RRP £2.50

  • for RRP £2.50

    cheap.

  • Do wheelbuilder deliver to the UK? only get USofA and Canda as options

  • powdercoat. Armourtex. Sorted.

    ftw!

  • ftw!

Spokes = thin, strong, accurately made and carefully heat treated to add strength.

Things not to do to spokes, excessive heating, dimensioning changing, bead blasting, chemical etching.

  • £2.50?

    Per spoke?

    That's excessive, even for supremacists.

  • especially considering they cost a lot less from halo

  • halo spokes are utter shite, two of mine have snapped at the shoulder by the flange. Cheaply made, overpriced and under tested.

  • BLB have white double butted spokes for £1 each. Not sure who makes them. They also have other powdercoated other colours too :)

  • Those DT spokes are the Champions I think, fucking good spokes is they. Not cheap in either black/silver

  • BLB do Velocity white spokes. Part of a build only, according to the site.

  • Tipex FTW

  • Tipex - For the Nostrils

  • halo spokes are utter shite, two of mine have snapped at the shoulder by the flange. Cheaply made, overpriced and under tested.

is that just the white ones or general? plain gauge or double butted? i have been riding lots of halo spokes without any problems.

  • No, the thing you put on your bike wheel is a 'tyre'.

No, no, TIRE is correct in british english and TYRE is in north american english :)
then it depends on where you are from

  • Sorry, you're wrong and Tynan's right.

    Check it.

    Tyre - Chiefly British

    tyre or US tire
    Noun
a ring of rubber, usually filled with air but sometimes solid, fitted round the rim of a wheel of a road vehicle to grip the road
[earlier tire, probably archaic variant of attire]

  • Double butted DT Swiss spokes = 50p each

    LBS FTW

  • ok... i give up then. You are both right. Honors to Tytan
I mean I am not even english, just based it on google :)
funnily enough that's wikipedia which got me confused.. check this:
    [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyre[/ame] and http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/tyre
    and then this
    [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tire[/ame]

I should have gone out more (to school) :D
ehh talking about tyres tires me

  • Seriously ?? You're not actually English and you tried telling us how to spell tyre in English not American.
