After reading everyones replies I guess the bottom line is that its good for a starter road bike and at under 70quid its a bit of a steal!

At the price you got it you cant go wrong - its just that when people start handing over 200 quid (and i have heard some horror stories about people paying a lot more) for one then its taking the piss.
Thrash it till it dies, and save up for something special whilst your at it.
