Came home today to receive my start sheet for my first event of the year, a 21 mile event organised by Tooting Bicycle Club over the GS334 course in Surrey - never done this before; could be interesting. Off fourth by the look of things.
It could be v v embarrassing - I have the potential to be beaten by a 79 year old (Steve Aveley - Tooting BC), plus a 60 year old lady (Gillian Reynolds - the wife tells me that she is pretty handy and likely to beat me!!).
Looks like its a session on the turbo for me this we - maybe a case of too little too late....
Suspect there won't be many fixed - it's hilly without a dual carriageway in site.
