I guess so but only because it has been used in that way to refer to anyone who appears to be from south Asia but I would not personally describe people from Pakistain as being a distinct race but I don't think there is a really solid definition of what race is.

I'd like to retain my right to offend people about their beliefs, ie. things that they have chosen. Even attempting to offend someone about something over which they have no control over, seems to me where the line is crossed.

I think it's just a play on words, but like I said if some one is offended you can't tell them they are not offended, they are. I don't think it should be disallowed to say something that offends people either that would be stupid.

I don't agree with the reaction that has happened to DJ's on air joke, but it was inevitable.
