I'm more sad about Jade Goody than I was with Diana (I simply didn't understand that at all TBH), I think she endeared herself to people because she seemed to always be herself and never put on a facade, even if she made a right prat of herself. If you ignore the whole racism case - which in my opinion was overblown media fluff anyway - you can tell she was a pretty harmless, well-meaning person... and yes it is pretty sad when someone like that dies without deserving it - especially when they have kids and still in their twenties.
Comparisons to Diana will probably be made as both of them had so much media coverage - people develop this strange sort of bond as if they know them in person.
