  • *Internal Announcement - Information from the City of London Police *

*We have been informed by the Police that protests linked to the G20 summit will be taking place in London commencing 28th March, with some disruption expected. From the City of London's perspective we are likely to witness most activity on the 01st & 02nd April. *
*On the 01st protestors intend to hold a 24 hr 'Reclaim the Streets' event in the City, commencing at 11:00 hrs with several gatherings taking place at the tube/train stations of Liverpool Street, London Bridge, Cannon Street and Moorgate. Each group will then make their way to the Bank of England at 12:00 hrs for a street party followed by an overnight vigil in the City with attendees bringing tents to sleep in . *
Intelligence also suggests climate related protests and actions at RBS's offices and the European Carbon Exchange in Bishopsgate and also at the ExCel centre.

*The Police advise us that they do not anticipate widespread public disorder, however they have recommended a number of precautions and in line with their recommendations staff are advised: *
*To 'dress down' on the 01st and 02nd; *
*Avoid or reschedule where possible, unnecessary meetings in the City on both days; *
*Travel to and from work on public transport; *
*Co-operate with the Police and building security at all times; *
*Do not deliberately provoke the demonstrators; *
Use caution and remain vigilant when travelling through the City.

Anyone up for a bankers ride on the 1st then? Blue pin stripe suits, brief cases and bowler hats mandatory.
