When I was riding fixed 25 years ago I got shit all the time. At bike shops! I was the only one I knew doing it then. I had a single speed rear and a fixed and would alternate. I took my wheel in to be serviced and the lycra crowd was all standing around looking at me like I was nuts! Until I blew by them on the road. I rode 50/14 at the time. They couldn't ramp up to catch me ever. Now that same shop is almost all singlespeed and fixed. It took them a while, but they finally got it. Laugh at me will you?!
