Plenty of designers on here, so someone may be interested in this, at the British Museum:
Department of Exhibitions Graphic Designer Permanent
"As a Graphic Designer in the Exhibitions department you will develop and present graphic design solutions across a range of media for temporary exhibitions, permanent galleries, and public spaces.
In this challenging and creative role, you will present information to the public in an engaging and accessible manner, working with interpreters and others on the design team to create high quality work to schedule and budget.
Applicants will possess a degree (or equivalent) in Graphic Design with proven work experience within a design studio. You will be asked to produce a portfolio demonstrating wide-ranging creative solutions and attention to detail and have a proven ability of using Quark, Xpress, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign on Mac hardware.
The ideal candidate will be organised and flexible with the ability to work creatively and under pressure in a busy environment on several projects simultaneously. The ability to work to tight deadlines and within budget is an essential requirement of this role."
Not the highest salary in the industry I'm sure, but it's a great place to work, and being a government post it is a pretty safe job.
EDIT: With application form attached. I can't figure out how to attach the original word file, as that's the one you would fill out... drop me a PM with your email address if you want it though.
