I've been considering trying out making some wooden guards for a while now. I've got all the kit for bending wood (being a guitar maker)
I could probably also do multi-lam ones which would look a little nicer/be a little stiffer

Hmmmm...

lets get together Jammy - i think Skully might be interested in being part of it too
