There are no brake calipers fitted as this is a track/path racer style bicycle , but is fitted with a coaster brake in the hub that is worked by appying back preasure to the pedals. [like a fixed].

The Baines Gate didn't have a bridge on the chainstays. The wheel went virtually right up to the seat tube. Very rigid at the back.

breaking the rules of never explaining....
i think ved was just having a little joke, if you look at the pics the mural on the back wall should satisfy your mind that all is above board.
please forgive me if you both had your tongues in your cheeks.

Another one from TDV...
Would make a decent conversion that, as no file off the braze on puppy-killing is required.

i asked the guy what the 61cm version weighed and he told me 3570g incl. fork, that is quite heavy isnot it?

Only about 700-900g heavier than a real quality frame.... :)

I swear this set was up for sale about a year ago.... ?
Nice set of wheels, clinchers would be better if you wanted to use them hard on the roads.... i've got a tub on the front and it's a reet arse whenever you get a puncture, esp if you are in a hurry.
They were up for sale! I bought em. I've had them hanging up since ready to be made fixed but I never got around to it! Almost sold them to Gizmond but they weren't what he was looking for.
Had 10 questions about what size cassette they will take within the first 2 hours of posting!! Should update it.

Are they 8 or 9 speed then? You'd probably sell them at that price if you do confirm this!
