  • My current project;

    Alan super record pista repainted to Paletti:

    I'm making it original again;

    Have to remove some tiny bits of paint, polish the hubs and cranks (campagnolo record), rim it, etc.

    This is my first "little" project, tips, tricks, etc. are welcome

  • Alan pista, oh my lord. my dad would foam at the mouth if he saw this one.

  • inspiration? -

  • Yep

  • nice

  • wow, that is nice. i love those alan's

    @teddy, lucky man.

  • I'm loving that Merican teddy. You've got a fine taste in bikes.

    @Djee-djee - that's beautifully done. I like a sensitive restoration and removing the paint was exactly the right thing to do.

  • i love the classic bikes, with the subtile decals and classic lugs, the alan doesn't got those lugs though but you know what i mean

  • wow gonna be very nice

  • nice to know that the new owner of them yellow paletti (i've watched them on ebay, but it was too small for me) removed them to the original alan-look.

    and as an add. picture for snoops inspiration picture:

    i'm riding my alan super record as daily used and polobike since 1 year and have no problems!

  • Some great bikes and some great 'Projects' kicking about at the mo, well played to all involved

  • oh my, clearance porn

  • Newly finished Pista EOM. Need to fiddle with the saddle and shorten chain. Anyone have a spare KMC half link lying around?

  • "Path Racer" completed, the frame is incredibly heavy so I'm not going to spend money on it, originally suppose to be an utility bike, but end up wanting it to look like a singlespeed path racer, bar is from the missus' bike flopped upside down, brooks from Brompton, couple tinkering and winkling and bingo;

    Inspiration from the Pashley Guv'nor, a long way off but getting there;

    ride VERY smoothly much to my surprise. just need to true the front wheel, final cost - £35, that all it cost for a reliable and solid singlespeed bicycle.

  • Ed I've PM'd you mate.

  • inspiration? -

    That is GORGEOUS!!!!

  • Ed I've PM'd you mate.

    Where have you been young man?

  • Snoops, thanks for the graphic inspiration, now I know what exactly I should put on the Bianchi, same world champion stripe with "Bianchi" in classic type.

  • What's the wheelset on that Alan? Deep Vs/formula?

  • probably

    and wanna see that funny alu-lugged stem in a close-up.

  • Picked this one up today.
    Building a new front whell for it and getting a jaguar stem.
    Don´t know about the white tyres, too much of a ghost bike now...

  • Very nice.

  • Boon, I love your collection of bikes!!!

  • Nah I think you have enough black part enough to not make it look like a ghost bike, look great thought!

  • boon, that is beautiful.
