  • I for one cannot imagine Sheldon Brown buying shite from Topshop.

Excuse me? What the fk does where I buy my clothes have to do with whether I ride a bike or not? I know that we all slag off "hipster fashion" but I have seen more that a few of you wearing simillar stuff. I for one, have been known to buy from Top Shop and American Apparel. Does that suddenly nulify the fact that I can idenify and fix all the parts of my bike or that I have been riding for years?

If you don't like top shop, don't go. If you want to support our friends and be happy that this may mean more people cycling then, come out and ride with me for the opening.

  • There are already enough women on the streets daydreaming while riding bikes through heavy traffic, though. :)

That's funny, I can't remember the last time I had a woman try and undertake me in traffic, unlike the horde of men doing it on a daily basis because they assume I don't know what I'm doing, in spite of the radio and bag.

Paul, your not just making a broad generalization, your making a generalization about broads. Watch your back, idiot.

  • hear hear...

  • i was looking at their threads after being knocked out of the Shoreditch Polo Tourney last year (clearly the shock of the tournament seeing MOH going out in the first round ;) - anyway, nice stuff.

    wishing them good luck

    sorry forgot the quote.

    big-up!

  • I'm always at Top shop buying women's clothes...oh sh..wrong forum

  • Sorry to hear that. I have a pair of Rapha shorts that are a size too big for me, even with my perfect arse I don't get as much as fox-cub whistle! You may borrow them. FREE!

Thats because your saddle isn't lucky..

  • I like having Oliver follow me around and correct my half attention posted threads!

Sorry, I was confusing Caz Cyclechic with Cyclodelic. Can I hire you to sit next to me at work pointing out my passive sentances and split infinitives!

He, he, you can, but you might come to regret it. :)

    And here we go http://www.flickr.com/photos/cyclodelic/sets/72157615780058010/
I'm sure Oliver has already posted this, and I'm simply repeating him.

No, I didn't find that at all. Some very nice pictures there:

  • Paul, your not just making a broad generalization, your making a generalization about broads. Watch your back, idiot.

    Punnerific Nhatt!

  • totally stolen.

gold star if you can tell me which film...

  • Easy to find when Googling, but as I haven't seen the film I'm not in the running.

  • Love it!

Although now I have even less excuse for looking uncool on the bike. Sigh.

  • When I say 'gigantic capitalist machine' I refer not to Top Shop's support or any additional funding, but the system's desire itself to squeeze all soul out of human activity by filling it will consumerism.

I think we can all admit this shite isn't necessary, just a continuing vulgarisation of modern existence. All subcultures, like this, are guilty of simply being a different version of the britney spears followers, westlife fans, or dickheads who go and buy mulberry bags.

Having one gear does not preclude this you know.

There are already enough women on the streets daydreaming while riding bikes through heavy traffic, though. :)

Like bras, shades can hide a lot of barbarity, though.

    no no

    paul,

    show us you're nuts

He's all ready shown us he's nuts.

  • Neither can I. He's dead.

Should I have laughed at that? I did - heartily.

What's the girl second in from the right got on her ankle? Is she tagged under some kind of hipster ASBO?

  • I like the look of the saddle bags. cyclodelic_5609 on Flickr - Photo Sharing!@@AMEPARAM@@http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3560/3377933424_1d4c2ea48d.jpg?v=0@@AMEPARAM@@3377933424@@AMEPARAM@@1d4c2ea48d
If you look at what is available on the market these are very unique.

Is the bumpy red bag some kind of pannier hybrid?

Paul Michel: the first time you provoked people's disgust was when you posted a generalisation about women cyclists in the Rider down thread; just a few minutes before that rider's boyfriend posted to say that she had died of her injuries. Some of us were willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, that it was just bad timing, a crass but forgiveable error.
Now, while the thread about Eilidh is still active and while the couple of hundred forum members who went on the memorial ride are still moved to tears when we think about it, you post this. I told you a couple of days ago that you had passed the point where anyone would have any sympathy for you and you responded that you didn't want sympathy. It is just as well. You are simply despicable and, I think, an attention seeking misogynist.
You should leave the forum. You shouldn't be banned - you should realise how grossly you have, today, insulted the memory of a dead woman and do the decent thing and leave. What you are like in real life is irrelevant; you have proved time and time again that you are incapable of posting on here without, at best, being pathetically annoying and, at worst, hateful and devoid of any ability to feel genuine compassion or empathy. If you have one ounce of self respect you will ask Velocio to delete your account.

  • I can. They look great, in at the start of something big, wearing clothes that you can imagine people wearing on a normal day. It'll convince a lot of people, including women, that they can cycle. Now we're just waiting for the winter range ... ;)

    ...what's a winter range? =P

  • Sorry to hear that. I have a pair of Rapha shorts that are a size too big for me, even with my perfect arse I don't get as much as fox-cub whistle! You may borrow them. FREE!

Thats new, *affordable *bike clothing. Shame there isn't a range for the gents.

Ha! That's fine! We finally get something that is designed specifically for women and your making it sound like your the ones hard done by!

(whilst also using the promo shots as an oppertunity to oggle!)

I'm not sure I like this thread...

  • Love it!

Although now I have even less excuse for looking uncool on the bike. Sigh.

    Your safe for a while..a caps a cap and a bags a bag and a tag's a tag...
What we need is beautufully fitted merino wool dresses in electric colours, maybe with hoods, possibly a batwing... matched with leggings with reflective lightning bolts like seams down the back...

basically really good jersey basics and leggings in bold colours with details in refelective ELVS in bold block print.

    DONE!

I think I'll just stick with my ill-fitting lycra. :P

Fuck right off and get off your high horse you self righteious piece of shit.

I cannot believe you have had the audacity to suggest there is a link in those comments. Someone HAS DIED FOR FUCKS SAKE, and now you are using it to try and turn people against me.

That is grotesquely dispicable thing to do you horrid, horrid person.

  • I immediately made the same connection that Will did. I didn't want to duplicate what he had posted, but I will now.
Take a moment and reflect on what you've been doing. Please.
