just back from touring around Southern Sardinia (flew in/out of Caligari)...would firmly recommend it if you are interested in some 'vigorous' riding. Was among the hardest but also most rewarding riding I've done. Would imagine going mid summer would make riding during the heart of the day unbearable but spring/autumn is a good time.
