mdizzle, the 8 Freights are designed by Mike Burrows. I've briefly (although not over a longer distance) ridden one owned by bikefix and quite liked it. He used to custom-make them. Don't know if he still does. These guys have bike-based AV equipment, as an example of the many applications:

I once rode a Christiania trike round and round the Eastway Cycle Circuit and found it hard work, although some people prefer them.
Do you have any opportunity for test-riding cargo bikes in Brazil (isn't that where you live)?
I'd suspect that there must be frame builders around there who could weld together a half-decent cargo bike?
