I just did about 45 miles on my 13" bars on saturday with no problems...did the grandslam in a day on them with no problem...if i run my drops i still spend 95% of the time with my thumbs resting on my stem...for braking and climbing too.

I know that I am a faster rider using 42cm drops than I am with a narrow riser/flat and going as fast as my body allows is what interests me.
