hippy is right you need to HTFU before needing supplements. the bridges ride is hardly at constant race pace. i expect nobody went over 60% effort (unless they are really unfit)
i just make sure i hydrate and eat a peanut butter bagel (carb and protein plus a bit of unsaturated fat) but this is after an hour of constant 80-90% effort with half hour either side warm up/down.
