LFGSS Jersey (My Little Pony idea)

Well, as much as a loose collection of misfits could have a cycling club.

There was talk over at scott's place about how cool it would be if the forum had some colours (a race strip, etc) for those taking part in track events, time trials, and just for the seriously long rides when it's kinda nice being able to spot people and ride as a pack based on colours.

And so I jokingly proposed a My Little Pony themed LFGSS strip, because wouldn't it just be the bomb to not only not take it all too seriously, but if wins happen to beat those who are taking shit seriously whilst being Pony powered. I imagine a piss take of the Ferrari stallion, with a big butt, a cute wink and wings. And perhaps take the piss out of Rapha and make the strip black with the pony being pink?

Dunno, those were just the first thoughts that came to mind and they made me chuckle.

Point is though, do we want to notionally create a cycling club? It would be to give anyone who has no colours to ride under a banner to call their own, and to have a laugh taking the piss out of Velo Londres and London Dynamo. Beers at the finish line, some sense of identity or something.

I'm 50/50, I don't race so part of me doesn't care. But then there's part of me that thinks that it would be such a laugh it's almost worth starting again (just to lose, but that's because I only ever lost when I raced crits).

I love this idea. I've been thinking about joining RollaP a lot lately as well as joining in on the Tuesday Night Ride Club. I'm not fussed about racing - I just want to do longer rides. If this meant that there'd be more forums rides that were a bit longer I'd totally be down. Only thing I worry about with RollaP and the Tuesday Night Ride Club is that they have some good riders and I don't want to fall behind. Call me a pussy, I don't care. Plus ponies rule. :)
