Hi folks , I'm going to fit a paul racer brake to my fratello to go round the 28mm tyres and mudguards. Trouble is there's no cable hanger on there at the moment. All the ones I've seen on line are silver and I need a black one. My other concern is that I've read they can be a bit flexi, leading to spongy breaking. Anyone got any expereince of this?
I've discovered an alterntive though, it seems some pro riders and cyclocross riders drill their stem and send the brake cable straight down through that thus removing the need for a hanger. Anyone here done that?
