I love Polo

Spent 7 hours down at the Newmarket road court yesterday. Just wanted to say how much i love playing polo, so glad we have got a regular thing going on in Cambridge, thanks to everyone who contributed. Thats all :)

:) but no, seriously, it was nice fun, i just really wish my bike wouldn't let me down so much.
I actually may have to drop it for a week or two (unless someone will let me use their bike on sunday) to find a way of making some cash to fund a functional polo bike.
If anyone has some crappy (fixed) rear wheel, small frame or some bars they can donate for polo, ill be happy to swap for something that you need.

A colleague is experimenting fixing a shimano freehub for me, i'll let you know...

hmmm... i dont find not having a top tube comfortable...so i cant really do the ladies frames.
But the suicide hubs, do they actually work, i have a feeling that they will snap/screw off after a few brutal games of polo

Polo?....I have one those...made by Volkwagen......but my favourite is the sugar free version...less sticky!

pete (the dude with the medium format camara) has a suicide hub on his frame he's been on it for the last year and it hasnt budged, if you use thread lock and give it a good bash to tighten the fucker on it should be all good.

I rode suicide hub for about a year before buying track wheels. It was actually the shitty bearings that worried me more than the cog unscrewing. thats how we did it but we ground the lip off so there was enough room to fit a BB lock ring on the thread too, that with loads of thread lock and jobs a gooden.
