Dancing James on his creaking rust bucket weaving all over TRC, probably drunk.
Not 30 seconds after his slurred goodbye my chainring snapped. I put this down to the corrosive effects of the market-stall 'CK' cologne that was wafting off him like mustard gas off the Somme.
And big thanks to Roman at Velorution for sorting me out with a new chainring and lending me tools. Evans don't stock Campagnolo; the result of massive share buying by Hippy so I am told.
