• Just to say thank you to everyone for a memorable ride, pace was fine for me but then I was the interloper on the MTB (carrying a track pump for reasons too dull to explain). I'll definitely be back for more, just got to put my money where my mouth is and get me that bike I've been looking for.

For what it's worth, best bits for me were:
-Charging through an unlit park up by Barnes following a stream of flashing red lights trying to pick out obstacles with the bream from my front led.
-Some pedestrian on one bridge shouting "what are you doing?" and having 30-40 people shout back in near perfect unison "riding our bikes".
-Waiting in Parliament Sq for Big Ben to strike midnight, then leaving on-mass, bikes flooding onto Westminster Bridge approach from every direction, it looked like an invasion.
-Having missed the Millenium Bridge (never spotted the left turn) pulling up to the lights on Lower Thames St with the other half of the ride coming the opposite direction.
-Having a beer and a chat outside city hall at 1 o'clock in the moring (I'm terrible with names but the guy with the Pearson Frame I owe you a beer mate).
