yeh, if you measure this piece of string, and divide it by 73, then times it by your tyre ize, that will be how many links you need in your chain.
If you're gonna be patronizing do so with accurate spelling, punctuation and grammar. Otherwise you make yourself a target for abuse and the thread descends into warfare (usu. involving hippy/dogsballs/Pistanator)
@ ian:
Firstly use the search (if you haven't already). That really will be helpful.
Secondly you using a freehub and spacers or a flip flop rear wheel?
Thirdly are asking with reference to chain tension?
Fourthly a direct answer to your question as above is impossible as you have not given enough info. Your needs/frame size/desires/current level of knowledge/experience/usage levels are all factors that determine what you use. And chainline is important.
My advice: use the search, check sheldon brown, answer all the parts of my fourth point then come back.
And finally, as you are new and the question above is both vague and about a single speed conversion I have assumed that you know relatively little about fixed gear/single speed (compared to others on the forum not me, they know more). If this assumption is wrong I apologize for the tone of my post.
