Hi all, I've only just joined this group. I could only make the 15th out of those dates, as I'll be away for the others, but as I don't even know yet whether I'll be able to fit the book in before I go don't feel constrained by me. I have a feeling I might only be able to get into it properly with the next book, but I'll try my best!

hello everyone i have just joined have read farewell to arms although some time ago cheerful stuff i think i preferred for whom the bell tolls .
i also enjoyed most of the Steinbeck i read particularly Cannery Rw and Sweet Thursday

I was born in Pittsburgh - that's what I get for leaving early to go back to Texas. Still, I'll take my Mexican food addiction any day.

i can only do the 15th, i'm in portugal on the 29th and 22nd going to see who framed roger rabbit at the bfi! or i can turn up at 4 on the 22nd.

Oh, and for the next book, I'm recommending Pynchon's "The Crying of Lot 49". Awesome book. Quite short.

yes it is! i studied it for some weird ghosts and technology in modern american literature module at uni. if we do i'm going to get out my old notes and sound WELL clever.
i still haven't bought the book. has anyone finished and can lend me tomorrow on the ride?

Supplies:
Bring a few fillings each. and if there is a particular bread you need also - I will have bloomer, rye, pain de levain, 8-grain.
