Unfortunately we all knew what was going to happen to him - the bit where they play the audio of his demise is much more shocking than any gore-fest could be.
A really sad film, but a good one.
Not one I'd like to see in a cinema with a bunch of guffawing rah's sitting behind me either!

In fact, Herzog advises the owner of the tape, Jewel Palovak, an ex-girlfriend and close working associate of Treadwell who held onto the tape but refused to ever listen to it, to destroy it immediately."
