doesnt seem like they've made it work though, the cranks seem welded in and there are no teeth on the inside of the rims for the trackers to grip onto.
The drive wouldn't be visible; the black part of the rim is static, and the silver part carrying the tyre rotates. The whole wheel is effectively one large bearing, stator on the inside, rotor on the outside, and hundreds of little balls in between.
